Lisa T. Millican, Esq.

Lisa T. Millican received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1996 from Wake Forest University where she studied Psychology and Sociology. Ms. Millican received her Doctor of Law from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1999, whereupon she was admitted to practice law in Georgia. Thereafter, Ms. Millican received her Master of Law in litigation and alternative dispute resolution from the George Washington University School of Law, with high honors in 2000, and was admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.

Lisa T. Millican is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the U.S., the D.C. Court of Appeals, the D.C. Superior Court, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Superior Court, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts, Middle and Northern Districts. Ms. Millican also participates in various organizations, including the National Employment Lawyers Association, for which she was the Georgia Chapter President for 2013, the America Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Personal Injury Attorneys, the National Association of Professional Women and the Atlanta Bar Association.

Lisa T. Millican was formerly with Kutak Rock LLP, wherein she practiced in its litigation department. With her years at Kutak Rock LLP, Ms. Millican amassed experience in the litigation and alternative dispute resolution of a broad range of bankruptcy, intellectual property, sophisticated commercial, employment and securities matters. She concentrated on resolving contract-related disputes, representing creditors in commercial and bankruptcy litigation, as well as representing management in employment matters. She likewise represented clients in SEC and other securities regulatory inquiries. After leaving Kutak Rock LLP, Ms. Millican formed the Law Offices of Lisa T. Greenfield, P.C., which is now Greenfield Millican P.C.

Lisa T. Millican’s litigation practice maintains an emphasis on criminal defense and employment law. Her criminal defense focuses on violations of laws and appellate practice. Ms. Millican’s civil litigation practice concentrates on sex, race, national origin and handicapped discrimination actions, harassment claims, wage and hour disputes and various state law claims, including wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, unfair competition and breach of contract. The vast majority of the firm’s cases are sexual harassment, sex and gender discrimination and retaliation claims. The firm also has a large practice focusing on the recovery of unpaid overtime and other wages and violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act.
